Square Checker pulls every order from your Square account into a sheet you control, on demand or in the background. No SQL, no exports, no copy-paste.
What it does
Live Square data
Connect your Square account once with an API token. Every order (items,
customer, payment, totals, tip, discount) lands in a clean table you can
filter, pivot, or wire into Looker / dashboards.
Continuous import, free
Flip on a per-connection toggle and Square Checker keeps your sheet current
in the cloud, hourly, even when the spreadsheet is closed and your computer
is off. No clicking, and no subscription needed.
Always know where you stand
Every connection shows what it has synced through and when the next sync is
due, so a sheet that has stopped updating tells you so instead of quietly
going stale.
Resumes after timeouts
Google Apps Script caps any single execution at ~6 minutes. Square Checker
writes orders page-by-page and resumes from the last imported row on the next
run, so long-running first imports always finish.
Multiple Square accounts
Add as many connections as you need. Each one uses its own Square
credentials and lands in its own tab of a single "Square Checker imports"
file, with duplicate rows skipped.
Your data stays yours
Square API tokens are stored encrypted in your Google account's private
per-user storage, readable only by this add-on's code. Square Checker works
in one spreadsheet it creates for you and can't reach the rest of your Drive;
orders go straight from Square to that sheet and are never copied anywhere else.
How it works
- Install Square Checker from the Google Workspace Marketplace.
- In any Google Sheet, open Extensions → Square Checker → Set up. It creates your Square Checker imports spreadsheet and opens it.
- In that file, open the sidebar and add a connection: name, Square Application ID, Access Token, Location ID, a sheet name (its tab), and a starting date.
- Flip on Continuous import. Square Checker pulls your orders straight away and then keeps the tab current on its own.
That's the whole flow. Imports are idempotent (orders are matched by ID), so re-running is always safe.
