Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By installing or using the Square Checker add-on ("the Service"), you ("you") agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install the Service.
2. What the Service does
Square Checker is a Google Workspace add-on that fetches order data from your Square account using credentials you provide and writes that data into a Google Sheet you own. The free tier supports manual on-demand imports; the Pro tier adds an automatic every-15-minute background import mode.
3. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for providing valid Square API credentials and for the activity those credentials enable. Treat your Access Token like a password.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access and store the Square order data in your Google Sheet (e.g. for businesses with multiple operators or franchise arrangements).
- You will not use the Service to violate Square's terms of service, Google's terms of service, or any applicable law.
- You will not attempt to circumvent the subscription gates, reverse-engineer the paywaller integration, or otherwise interfere with the Service's operation.
4. Subscription, billing, refunds
- The free tier is free indefinitely.
- The Pro tier is a recurring subscription billed by Stripe under the terms displayed in the Subscribe modal inside the add-on (monthly, yearly, or lifetime as applicable).
- You can cancel at any time via the Manage button inside the add-on (or the Stripe billing portal). Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep Pro access through the end of the period you've already paid for. All sales are final and we do not issue refunds for the current billing period.
5. Service availability
The Service runs on Google Apps Script's infrastructure and depends on Square's API and Stripe's billing infrastructure. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that imports will complete within any specific window. Google Apps Script enforces a ~6-minute per-execution cap; the Service is designed to resume from where it left off on the next run, but very large historical backfills may require multiple runs to complete.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, that imported data will always match Square's source data exactly, or that the Service will be suitable for any particular accounting, tax, or compliance purpose. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of imported data before relying on it for material decisions.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability for any direct damages arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months immediately preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user who violates these Terms, abuses the platform, or whose subscription cannot be successfully billed. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling it from the Google Workspace Marketplace.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
